No reason to be concerned… but her jaundice level wasn’t decreasing, so they decided to admit her for approx. 24hrs of phototherapy under the bili-light. So, Christina, Momma D and I spent the night with Grace while she slept in the “Tanning Bed”. 12 hrs into treatment, her levels have dropped from 20 to 13. We should be back home this afternoon. That being said, she looks like a pretty cute alien like baby under the lights.

It’s been a crazy few days, but I finally have the time to catch up on this blog. First, here are some pictures of Gracie’s first few days in the hospital.

As you can see, she’s a little jaundice, but not enough for any specific treatment, and they were not too concerned.

Finally, on Saturday they said we could come home. Christina and I were very happy and excited to show Grace her home.

And today, we are heading to her first doctors appointment, but first, we had Gracie’s first sponge bath, and well, it was alot of fun.

• Now that she has her epidural they have given her some oxytocin… To speed it up. Should be a few hours or so… #

Grace Marie Eagle was born at 847pm and weighs 8 lbs 4 oz and is 21
inches tall… Baby, Mother, and Dad are doing great!

After 18 hours of labor and two hours of pushing it was decided that
we needed a C-section…so we’ll be at alexandria hospital for a few
days. Just call if you wanna stop by and see the little one. Thank you
all for your prayers and support!

All signs are pointing to Baby Eagle coming soon… just don’t know when… I kind of wish there was a countdown timer, so we’d have a better idea. We had a false alarm last night, increasing contractions, stronger, then they just stopped… crazy stuff… So the plan today is to walk alot, have some eggplant parmesan (supposed to help induce labor) and raspberry leaf tea (also supposed to induce labor). Let’s see how today goes… and hopefully we’ll see our baby soon!

Everything is coming together… we have the nursery all put together, the house straightened up, and now we just need the baby to come.

I’ve decided to give up using timeagle.net and just use eaglefam.us as my main domain. This blog is going to chronicle the life of the growing eagle family. In the next 3 weeks, we are growing from three (Christina, Kira and I) to four (add baby eagle). So, sit back and enjoy this, it should be fun!

It took some time, but its finally looking livable!
